Through funding from the MAC AIDS Fund, NASTAD has been working to assist ADAPs with expanding knowledge of changes as a result of health reform and preparing them for implementation. Activities conducted throughout this project include a health reform readiness assessment and a series of webinars and regional meetings. These meetings are designed to give ADAPs the opportunity to discuss implementation planning with their colleagues and to share challenges, present lessons learned, and promote successes. This session will provide a high-level update on health reform provisions and implementation planning as it relates to Part B and ADAP. It will present an opportunity for ADAPs and Part B coordinators to share lessons learned from their work on implementing health reform in their jurisdictions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand health reform provisions that will directly impact Part B and ADAP.
  • Learn how to prepare for the implementation of health reform.
  • Discuss the impact that the implementation of health reform will have on client populations and program structure.
