The State of Pennsylvania, through the Jewish Healthcare Foundation has implemented a portal dedicated to the collection, reporting, and visualization of key quality indicators for Ryan White programs across the State. The presenters show how sub-grantees easily use data collected in CAREWare within the eCOMPAS portal for data visualization and quality management. The portal also contains online training videos, a blog, RSS feeds from Federal agencies, and a set of public and password-protected resources. Combining data visualization, trend reporting, and these online resources has positively impacted quality management in Pennsylvania. Presenters share the importance, challenges, successes, and lessons learned in implementing a Statewide initiative and set of Web-based tools.

Learning Objectives:

  • Workshop participants will be able to see how providing a one-stop resource for Statewide quality management data and resources help regions, providers, and the quality management programs.
  • Participants will be able to describe how to adopt and adapt strategies and tools to implement Web-based quality tools regardless of data collection system.
  • Participants will understand the challenges and benefits of implementing a quality management portal.
