Francisco Ruiz

Senior Manager, Health Equity
Francisco Ruiz brings to his work over ten years of HIV/AIDS experience in the U.S., Latin America, and Caribbean. Mr. Ruiz serves as a Senior Manager in the Health Equity Program at the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) where he provides guidance on how to address the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS among the most impacted communities, particularly Latino communities and gay men of all races and ethnicities. Additionally, Francisco serves as co-chair of the National Latino AIDS Action Network (NLAAN), a network of civil society and key stakeholders that identifies and prioritizes the key HIV/AIDS prevention, research and care and treatment needs of Latino communities. In 2010, Francisco was named one of the 100 most influential AIDS advocates by POZ Magazine. His commentary and work has appeared on various media outlets such as Destination Casa Blanca, TuSalud, POZ Magazine, and AIDS.gov.
