Kate M. Gilmore currently serves as the Program Development Coordinator for the HIV Care Services Unit at the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Prior to joining VDH, she worked in international HIV/AIDS where she focused on health systems strengthening efforts in southern and eastern Africa and the first reauthorization of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPAR) U.S. Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Act. She holds a BA degree in government and bioethics from the University of Virginia is currently pursuing her MA degree in public health at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
