Starting as an AmeriCorps*VISTA at the William F. Ryan Community Health Center, Ms. Skinner transitioned into the role of Assistant Coordinator for HIV Testing and Linkage to Care after her service year. She studied religious studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but her passion is in breaking down barriers to encourage access to medical care in underserved populations. Her focus at Ryan Center has been in Continuous Quality Improvement and in simplifying and streamlining systems in order to enhance quality.
