The HIV/Hepatitis Program Manager, Darla Peterson has 19 years of experience working at Siouxland Community Health Center (SCHC). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She created a one-stop shopping approach for HIV/Hepatitis which makes SCHC the point of contact and center for care and prevention in a 100 mile radius. The one-stop shop includes: Ryan White Part B and C, housing assistance through Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS, testing and counseling for HIV and HCV, outreach in unconventional settings, prevention interventions, on-site monthly lectures on HIV and Hepatitis, two support groups, and case management. Ms. Peterson serves on the Community Planning Group as the Quality Chair for the State Part B program and the statewide Hepatitis C taskforce. She has assisted with the Statewide Coordinated Statement of Need, networking Careware with the state, and assists in leading the statewide All Grantee Meeting. Additionally, she has provided technical assistance to other Ryan White grantees.
