Mrs. Vazquez was recently promoted to Care Services Group Manager and oversees HIV funding that is awarded to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) including Ryan Part B and Texas HIV Services funds. She previously was the Reentry Coordinator with the Texas HIV Medication Program at DSHS. In this role, she was instrumental in implementing increased discharge planning for HIV-positive inmate of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In her various roles with the DSHS, she has conducted contract monitoring, program implementation, and technical assistance in the areas of HIV prevention, STD public health follow up, and HIV Care and Social Services.
